Thunder GM Sam Presti Shares Update on Nikola Topic's Health
The Oklahoma City Thunder announced that Serbian guard Nikola Topic has been diagnosed with testicular cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
Topic, a 19-year-old draft pick from 2024, recently began treatment, and his medical team reports a very positive outlook.
“The biopsy confirmed that is the case,”
Thunder president Sam Presti stated, noting that Topic has a team of oncologists at OU and MD Anderson who are optimistic about his prognosis.
Presti explained that Topic chose to wait until after starting treatment to make the news public.
