Orbit Acquires Debut Author Megan Flynn's Novel
Orbit UK has acquired a "post-apocalyptic, cosy horror" novel from debut author Megan Flynn, titled When the Forest Whispers.
The novel is described as "a unique genre mash-up that balances dark thematic content and elements of horror with a heartwarming story of found family, survival, love and hope at the end of the world".
Scheduled for publication in early 2027 on Orbit's horror list, Run For It, the book tells the story of Remembrance Kingston, a young woman raised by doomsday preppers in the woods, who now lives alone with her dog and the ghosts of her family.
