SWISS, the national carrier of Switzerland, presented its first Airbus A350-900 at Zurich Airport on October 14, 2025.
The event was attended by Airways at SWISS's maintenance facilities, where Stan Wawrinka served as the 'godparent' for the naming of the aircraft.
The Lufthansa group initially ordered five Airbus A350-900s for SWISS in 2019, with the airline doubling its order in December 2024.
The first A350-900 arrived in Zurich on November 9, with a traditional water cannon salute, and has been named HB-IFA.
SWISS showcased HB-IFA, the first unit to join its fleet.
