David Couturier, director of the Franciscan Institute at St. Bonaventure University, has been elected vice chairman of the Board of Trustees at Viterbo University.
He will serve on the university's executive committee, following his election during the board's fall meeting on the 13th.
David Couturier expressed his gratitude for the board's confidence in him, saying: "Viterbo has a long legacy of committed service to the people of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the greater Midwest. The legacy of the Franciscan sisters is deep, and the Franciscan values of faculty, staff and leadership here are strong."
John McHugh, chairman of the board, praised Couturier's Franciscan values, expertise in mission, and keen understanding of the challenges facing Catholic higher education.
He will serve as vice chairman of the Board of Trustees at Viterbo University.
