Construction of 1GW Stargate AI Cluster in Abu Dhabi Underway
G42 announced that the construction of Stargate UAE, a 1-gigawatt artificial intelligence infrastructure cluster in Abu Dhabi, is well underway.
The project, led by Khazna Data Centers, a G42 company, has entered advanced construction, marking a major step toward the UAE's goal of building one of the world's largest AI infrastructure hubs.
- The facility is part of the 5GW UAE-US AI Campus.
- Scheduled to go live in 2026.
- Global partners include OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, Cisco, and SoftBank.
Stargate UAE is designed to serve as the cornerstone of the country's national AI infrastructure.
Civil, structural, and architectural work is well advanced, while mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are being finalized.
