Florida Atlantic men's basketball team secured their first win of the season against Boston College on Monday night, with guard Yohann Sissoko hitting a game-saving three-pointer in an 83-78 overtime victory.
The game was played in front of a sold-out crowd at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena, marking the third time a power conference opponent has visited "The Elly" in four years.
"I don't know that this [game] was pretty, maybe that's just part of it, but what our guys did show is some real fight and resolve," said head coach John Jakus.
Coach Jakus praised his team's determination, saying their heart and the fan spirit helped them get back in the game when it seemed hopeless.
The team's win follows an electric 42-point victory against Florida Tech on Thursday, led by guard Devin Vanterpool's 24-point performance.
