Residents Call for Improved Accountability and Public Input
Residents criticized the Patrick County Board of Supervisors at the Oct. 20 meeting over transparency issues and a perceived lack of communication with the public.

Steve Ferring, a resident who has attended meetings for two years, believes the way meetings are conducted should change to include civil interaction and discussions between the board and residents.
Ferring thinks this change would allow board members to indicate whether issues raised will be addressed in subsequent meetings, rather than being ignored.
