Rotation in Bulgaria's 51st National Assembly
Raya Nazaryan of GERB-UDF was elected Speaker on October 29, following an agreement among the ruling majority to "rotate" the post.
Nazaryan's election came after Natalia Kiselova's resignation as Speaker earlier that day.
- Two candidates ran for Speaker: Nazaryan and Tsoncho Ganev of opposition party Vuzrazhdane.
- Nazaryan received 120 votes in favour, 77 against, and 14 abstentions out of 220 MPs voting.
