Abby Jones admitted it was 'surreal' to see how far the Cherries have come in the nine years she has been with the club.
The 22-year-old skipper first joined AFC Bournemouth as a 13-year-old and moved into the first team at 16, witnessing a meteoric rise to the third tier of the women's game.
It's crazy to think nine years ago I started when I was 13 and as soon as I turned 16 I went into the women's team, and I think that's such a surreal moment for me to know that I'm still here nine years later.
Jones noted the significant development of the team, from borrowing kit from the men's team to having access to a performance centre with ample resources.
We're so lucky to be able to use this performance centre as well, where we train, have such good access to so many different things to help us out. It's just helped us develop as a team even further.
