Swift Solar, a US solar technology company, has deployed perovskite solar technology as part of a Department of Defence cyber warfare exercise in Virginia.
The company deployed its US-made perovskite tandem solar modules as part of the Cyber Fortress exercise in Virginia Beach, VA. The exercise models a cyberattack on the US grid and is a programme of the Department of Defence (DoD).
The modules were used in conjunction with the Rapid Deployment Hybrid MicroGrid (RDHM) system produced by Resilient Energy & Infrastructure. According to Swift Solar, the exercise demonstrated the potential of high-efficiency perovskite solar products to
support energy resilience for national defence operations.
