Forever Canadian Petition Gains Momentum
A petition to keep Alberta in Canada, led by former Progressive Conservative cabinet minister Thomas Lukaszuk, has reportedly collected over 300,000 signatures.
The Forever Canadian petition asks: "Do you agree that Alberta should remain in Canada?" To be considered for a province-wide referendum, it requires 293,976 in-person signatures.
Lukaszuk's "Unity Bus" tour has been supported by more than 4,000 volunteers, who have been collecting signatures across the province.
