However, renters have been locked out of this cost-saving technology due to the "split-incentive" where landlords pay for the system, but tenants get the benefit.
The Supercharged Solar for Renters program will directly incentivise solar for rental properties, making it easier for landlords to install solar and for tenants to access the savings.
Queensland’s upcoming Supercharged Solar for Renters program aims to change that.
