Police Raid Colonie Hotel in Search for McDonald's Robbery Suspect
Colonie Police and Saratoga County Sheriff's Deputies raided the Econo Lodge Inn Suites in Colonie on Saturday night.
The raid was part of the search for 32-year-old Joseph Hess of Frankfurt, NY, accused of robbing a 76-year-old woman at the McDonald's parking lot in Ballston on Thursday.
According to Saratoga County Sheriff's Deputies, Hess stole the woman's pocketbook and then ran over her with his car, leaving her with compound leg fractures.
- The woman was transported to the hospital for treatment.
- Police broke a window at the Econo Lodge during the raid.
- SWAT team members called out Hess's name over a loudspeaker, instructing him to come out with his hands up.
Police are still searching for Joseph Hess.
