Punjab Extends Section 144 Across Province After Deadly TLP Protests
The Punjab government has extended Section 144 for seven more days following violent Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protests that left at least three people dead and dozens injured.
A spokesperson for the Punjab Home Department confirmed the decision, stating that the extension came on the recommendation of the provincial cabinet during a special meeting on law and order.
The extended order bans gatherings of four or more people across Punjab in an effort to prevent further unrest.
