Scattered Storms as Fall Returns
A cold front is expected to bring autumn weather back to Kansas, along with increasing storm chances for the Plains.
The highest rain potential will be in the northwest on Thursday night, moving to south central and eastern Kansas by Friday evening.
- Highs will start cooling down on Friday, with most of the state back in the 70s.
- The cold front will continue to push south, bringing even cooler temperatures on Saturday, with highs in the 60s and 70s.
While a frost or freeze is unlikely on a large scale, northwest Kansas may get close to a fall frost by Sunday morning.
Dry weather is expected for the area over the weekend and into the start of next week.
