Rosatom and Uzatom have commenced construction of a low-power nuclear power plant (NPP) in Uzbekistan, utilizing the RITM-200N reactor.
The site will also feature two high-power VVER-1000 units and two RITM-200N units, combining large and small reactors on a single site.
“Today we begin a new stage in the implementation of the project to create nuclear generation in Uzbekistan,” said Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev.
A high degree of localization is provided for the construction of the ASMM, as with all Rosatom's foreign projects.
