UNC Asheville's Toyaz Solomon has been named the Preseason Player of the Year by the Big South Conference.
Solomon was the only Bulldog to start all 32 games last season, serving as one of UNC Asheville's most consistent and impactful performers. He averaged 15.7 points per game, led the team in field goal percentage (.610), rebounds (7.2 per game), and blocked shots (51).
Logging 1,001 total minutes—a team-high 31.3 per contest—Solomon delivered career-best outings throughout the year.
Notable performances include 24 points against North Florida, 15 rebounds at Central Arkansas, six assists versus Longwood, and six blocks against UNCW.
The Bulldogs were picked second in the preseason rankings.
