Country music fans are abuzz with excitement as George Strait hints at a 2026 announcement, sharing a throwback festival poster.
Although Strait stepped back from extensive touring after his Cowboy Rides Away tour in 2014, he continues to perform, albeit at a slower pace. This year, he has been doing a limited number of shows with Chris Stapleton, a collaboration that began in 2024.
In 2024, Strait set the record for the largest single-ticketed concert in U.S. history, drawing 110,905 fans to Texas A&M's Kyle Field. This record-breaking performance was one of only 10 live shows he did that year, which also included a stop at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for his 37th Strait to Vegas residency show.
However, Zach Bryan has since surpassed Strait's record for the largest single-ticketed concert in the U.S.
