The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has raised its global economic growth forecast for 2025 to 3.2 percent, a 0.2 percentage point increase from the July forecast.
According to the latest World Economic Outlook report, advanced economies are expected to grow by 1.6 percent in 2025, while emerging market and developing economies are projected to grow by 4.2 percent, both 0.1 percentage point higher than previously projected.
The IMF chief economist Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas spoke at a press briefing on the World Economic Outlook in Washington, D.C.
The report was released on Tuesday, with the new forecast indicating a slightly more optimistic outlook for global economic growth.
