Last weekend, President Donald Trump flew to the Middle East to celebrate a ceasefire his administration helped broker between Hamas and Israel, after over two years of war.

"It is also being claimed that we have a historic peace deal. That is absolutely fictitious.”

To assess the significance of the agreement, I spoke with Daniel Levy, the president of the US/Middle East Project, who previously worked as an Israeli peace negotiator.
