Coast Guard Supports State Response in Alaska
The Coast Guard is conducting search and rescue operations in Kipnuk and Kwigillingok, Alaska, due to severe flooding.
In support of the state's response, Coast Guard crews from Air Station Kodiak rescued 18 people in Kwigillingok and 16 people in Kipnuk, transferring them to safety in stable condition.
Search efforts are ongoing for three unaccounted residents of Kwigillingok, with a Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew searching 76 square miles.
