Coal miners, their supporters, and medical experts gathered in Washington to urge the Trump administration to enforce black lung protections.
Outside the Department of Labor, a crowd of 50 miners and supporters, some carrying oxygen machines, called on President Donald Trump to take action.
"Right this minute there is some 35-year-old dying right now trying to get his breath," said United Mine Workers President Cecil E. "This is the worst form of death one can imagine."
