Kuwait City, Nov 30:
The Kuwait Municipality has taken action to improve public safety and maintain cleanliness in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate by removing 45 abandoned vehicles from various neighborhoods.
Teams from the Public Cleaning and Road Occupancy Department conducted inspection campaigns, identifying neglected cars left on roadsides and in public spaces. Following legal procedures, these vehicles were transferred to designated impound areas.
In addition to the removals, authorities issued 48 notices and violations concerning road occupancy and vehicle abandonment. The initiative aims to prevent environmental hazards and obstructed pathways resulting from long-neglected vehicles.
The municipality urged the public to cooperate by avoiding leaving vehicles unattended for long periods. It also advised residents to report any abandoned cars through official hotline channels to support ongoing efforts to keep city areas organized and safe.
“Preserving cleanliness and public order is a shared responsibility that reflects our community's commitment to maintaining Kuwait’s urban environment,” stated a municipal official.
