Students from across the globe will come together to participate in a simulation of the United Nations from November 29 to 30.
More than 400 high school students are expected to join the event held in Richmond, British Columbia. The gathering offers young people a platform to engage in diplomatic discussions, representing various countries and debating global issues as if they were actual UN delegates.
This program is designed to enhance students' understanding of international relations, public speaking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
"The event allows students to experience what it’s like to work within the United Nations and to discuss pressing global matters from different perspectives."
Participation in such events helps students develop critical thinking and leadership abilities that extend beyond the classroom.
This Model UN event in Richmond provides an immersive educational experience that deepens students' awareness of global diplomacy and fosters essential communication skills.
