Monmouth’s running back Rodney Nelson delivered an outstanding showing in his team’s 35–7 CAA victory over Bryant. He reached career highs with 34 carries, 244 rushing yards, and 306 all-purpose yards, scoring two touchdowns.
Nelson’s explosive plays included receptions of 49 and 13 yards, helping set up additional scoring drives for Monmouth. His total all-purpose yards rank as the second-highest by any FCS player this season.
He leads all FCS players in games with over 100 rushing yards (eight) and over 200 rushing yards (three).
