The government of Kazakhstan announced on Thursday its plan to join the Abraham Accords, ahead of an upcoming meeting between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C.
This move was confirmed by President Trump in a post on Truth Social, calling Kazakhstan’s decision “a major step forward in building bridges across the world.” He also mentioned that a formal signing ceremony will take place soon to make Kazakhstan’s accession official.
With this addition, Kazakhstan will join the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, Israel, and the United States as part of the Abraham Accords framework.
