We remain in a pleasant weather pattern for several days, with sunny and warm conditions continuing. Yesterday’s cold front has stalled over southern Arkansas and will gradually move back north today. High temperatures will reach around 70°, accompanied by occasional gusty winds from the southeast.
Upper-level energy moving just north of the area tonight will bring a layer of high clouds. Combined with a steady south breeze, this will keep overnight temperatures mild, with lows in the mid to upper 50s.
By Monday morning, a broad zone of strong high pressure will settle over the central United States. Some areas could see lows dropping into the teens. After Monday, a steady warming trend will develop, bringing milder weather and no rain expected over the next 10 days.
“A few flurries are possible Sunday.”
The region will enjoy three more mild, sunny days before a major weekend cold front brings a sharp temperature drop and a brief chance of snow flurries.
