Stephen Curry continues to strengthen his legendary status in the NBA. The Golden State Warriors star reached another historic milestone during Tuesday night’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns.
Curry scored 28 points, marking his 252nd game scoring 25 or more points since turning 30, according to OptaStats. This achievement moved him past Kobe Bryant, who recorded 251 such games, and placed Curry second all-time on that list.
The only player ahead of him now is Michael Jordan, who tallied 256 games of 25-plus points after turning 30. Given Curry's consistent scoring, he is within reach of surpassing Jordan’s record this season.
“It’s a remarkable late-career run by Curry, who dealt with persistent injuries early in his career but has transformed into a durable veteran guard.”
The Warriors will be without Curry for the team’s next game, as he is recovering from illness. He revealed that he played against the Suns while feeling unwell, making his performance even more impressive.
Steph Curry surpassed Kobe Bryant’s post-30 scoring milestone and now stands just four games shy of Michael Jordan’s NBA record.
