The San Jose Sharks delivered their strongest performance of the season on Wednesday, crushing the Seattle Kraken 6-1 at Climate Pledge Arena. Six different players scored goals, while goalie Yaroslav Askarov continued to shine with another standout performance.
Dellandrea scored his first goal of the season shorthanded at 3:24 of the third period, extending San Jose’s lead to 5-1. Just 30 seconds later, Toffoli added his fifth goal of the year to seal the decisive win.
The Sharks excelled on special teams, going a perfect 6-for-6 on the penalty kill and securing their most dominant victory of the season.
“Our penalty kill was really good tonight. So that helps,” said Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky. “I thought our game got better as the game went on.”
Askarov made 28 saves against Seattle, helping San Jose improve to 3-3-0 on the road. Earlier in the week, he posted 36 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the Colorado Avalanche. The Sharks, now 5-6-3, also earned a 5-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils on October 30, while their other wins came in overtime.
The Sharks dominated Seattle with balanced scoring and solid defense, led by Macklin Celebrini’s three-point night and strong goaltending from Yaroslav Askarov.
