FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A much cooler start today follows clearing skies. These clear conditions are expected to continue throughout the day, with highs reaching the mid to upper 50s.
Temperatures will climb back into the 60s tomorrow as strong wind gusts and rain showers return with the arrival of the first of two cold fronts. The second cold front will have a significant impact Sunday.
There is a chance of snow flurries on Sunday, though accumulation is expected to be minimal across most areas.
"With the chance of both rain and snow in the forecast, we still need as much precipitation that we can get as drought conditions did not change this week."
This weekend brings cooler weather with rain and wind returning, and a possible snowy Sunday, while drought remains a concern due to insufficient recent precipitation.
