The Shanghai Masters final between Arthur Rinderknech and Valentin Vacherot made history as only the third all-unseeded final in a Masters 1000 event.
Valentin Vacherot came from a set down to beat his cousin Arthur Rinderknech with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 scoreline, scripting history on Sunday, October 12.

Vacherot had earlier knocked out Novak Djokovic in the semifinal, becoming the lowest-ranked player (No.204) to reach a Masters 1000 tournament championship clash since 1990.
