Kurt Eklund, Bay of Plenty captain and Maori All Blacks front-rower, suffered a facial wound requiring

60 stitches to the face, which is never very fun

after a collision with All Black David Havili.

The incident occurred during a quarter-final match between Bay of Plenty and Tasman in the NPC, where Eklund's team won 27-7.

• The match was 30 minutes old when the injury happened.
• Eklund was tackling Tasman's David Havili, who was playing at full-back.

Eklund has posted on social media that he is

all good

despite the injury.
