Toward a More Inclusive First Publics
The Society Pages (TSP) is an open-access social science project headquartered in the Department of Sociology at the University of Minnesota.
In August 2023, First Publics was launched as an online space for exploring the politics, pedagogy, and practice of teaching as public sociology.
It started with a
Dialogue with ASA’s then-President Prudence Carter about the educative power of sociology, introduced by TSP Editors Doug Hartmann and Chris Uggen.
