Vicksburg Man Killed in Lawrence County Crash
A Vicksburg man was killed early Sunday morning in a car crash during a police chase, authorities reported.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the incident around 1:18 a.m. A 2015 Nissan Altima, driven by 42-year-old Michael Lyons of Vicksburg, was traveling south when it left the roadway and overturned.
Lyons suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 15-year-old female passenger sustained serious injuries and was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center by ambulance.
