The 2025 season is filled with fresh optimism, and the music scene is no exception. Recently, the Ohio-based folk band Oliver Hazard performed at the Aggie Theatre, accompanied by the Minnesota and Montana-based bluegrass band The Last Revel.
The two bands are currently on a co-headlining tour for half of the Raindrop River Tour. Despite having only met the night prior to starting the tour in Denver, they managed to intertwine their audiences. According to Ryan Acker, banjo player and vocalist for The Last Revel,
"A lot of tours that we’ve done in the past have been much more in the genre of bluegrass and more of that world, but this is the first time that we’ve shared a stage with a band that isn’t that directly".
This unique blend of styles brought a new energy to the stage, with Oliver Hazard turning the show into a house-like performance and The Last Revel transforming it into an outdoor festival-like experience.
