The Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) has been successfully integrated with a canister-based launcher, known as the JAGM Quad Launcher (JQL), during a ground-based demonstration at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ.
According to Lockheed Martin, the prime contractor, the JAGM was launched from a quad launcher positioned at a 45-degree angle and directly hit a "stationary ground target" during the demonstration on August 28.
The launch enabled data collection for the JAGM's ignition, launch and flight.
The successful integration of the JAGM with the JQL is a significant milestone in the development of the missile system.
