Magic Mountain Ski Area is investing in snowmaking upgrades to be ready for skiing and boarding sooner.
Ski areas across New England have outdated snowmaking infrastructure, according to Geoff Hatheway, president of Magic Mountain.
"We are replacing a key section of our lower mountain loop that had become 'Swiss cheese,' causing a lot of inefficiencies and blow outs,"
Over 1,200 feet of new pipe will be installed to improve the lower snowmaking loop's production.
