On November 6, Tom Cruise shared on Instagram his excitement for Glen Powell's new movie The Running Man. The two actors, who teamed up in the 2022 hit Top Gun: Maverick, showed strong camaraderie at a recent screening of Powell's latest project.
Cruise, 63, posted photos with Powell, 37, and other cast and crew, including Coleman Domingo, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, and director Edgar Wright. The images captured the group in a theater holding popcorn boxes featuring the film's title and an image of Powell running.
“Another great night out with my friends at the movies! You guys crushed it, congratulations! I laughed, was on the edge of my seat and ate way too much popcorn,”
Cruise’s caption expressed his enthusiastic support, highlighting the thrilling and entertaining nature of the film.
Since co-starring in Top Gun: Maverick, Powell and Cruise have developed a close friendship. Cruise has previously supported Powell’s work, such as attending the London premiere of Twisters in July 2024.
The event demonstrated Cruise’s continued encouragement of his fellow actors' projects beyond their shared blockbuster hit.
