New Toyota HiLux Leaked Ahead of Official Reveal

Toyota’s best-selling ute has been leaked online just hours before its official unveiling, showcasing a dramatically updated design. Images posted on Instagram by bfmsoficial were sourced from a video initially published before embargo by Auto Societies but later removed. These previews highlight significant changes in the new-generation HiLux.

Design and Structure Updates

The platform and cabin section from the A- to C-pillars remain unchanged from the current model. However, the front features an all-new look with slim headlights, a squared-off grille, and sharp, angular edges. The rear end appears tougher, including a tailgate stamped with TOYOTA.

Variants and Powertrain

Several versions of the new HiLux, known in Thailand as the HiLux Travo, have been spotted. These include models labeled ‘Prerunner’, ‘Overland’, ‘4Trex’, and a likely electric variant called the ‘Travo-e’.

Previous Australian government approval documents have also verified the 2.8-litre engine for the new HiLux.
