Weeks after a chaotic children's birthday celebration in affluent Vaucluse turned into a heated confrontation, tensions have escalated into a sharp public dispute involving legal action.
The disagreement centers on Danielle Plaskitt, a pony party operator from Sydney’s semi-rural northwest, and D’Leanne Lewis, an eastern suburbs real estate agent and star of the Amazon Prime Video series Luxe Listings Sydney. Their quarrel erupted after Lewis posted footage of their confrontation at her daughter Lyra’s third birthday party on Instagram.
Plaskitt was caught on camera shouting, “Get away from my ponies, now!” as Lewis carried her daughter away.
The clip, viewed by Lewis’s 70,000 followers, portrayed Plaskitt as irritable and confrontational, causing her public image to suffer. Plaskitt later defended her behavior, explaining she lost her temper only because some guests were “obstructive and difficult,” that her business’s terms and conditions had been ignored, and her team had not been provided proper parking.
The party, arranged through a planner, hired Plaskitt’s company My Pony Party for animal entertainment at Kimberley Reserve in Sydney’s east on September 28. Following media coverage of the dispute, both sides are considering legal steps, with Lewis reportedly sending a cease-and-desist notice.
A high-society children’s party gone wrong in Vaucluse has sparked an escalating feud between a pony party operator and a real estate celebrity, now heading toward legal confrontation.
