One of the main takeaways from Zalando’s Q3 report on Thursday was its newly expanded logistics agreement with the UK retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S). The company has now revealed further details about this partnership.
Since 2022, M&S has worked with Zalando, About You, and Amazon to fulfill European orders through selected marketplace partners. However, starting early next year, Zalando’s B2B logistics service, ZEOS, will handle M&S’s entire online direct-to-consumer operations across continental Europe.
Zalando already supports similar operations for another British retailer, Next, highlighting how UK brands view Zalando as a key logistics partner for growth in Europe.
M&S said its online business with Zalando grew rapidly in the last quarter, with sales increasing by 131% compared to the previous year. The new collaboration via ZEOS will allow M&S to serve 21 European markets.
M&S will be able to take advantage of ZEOS’s inventory efficiency, “creating one single stock pool as well as an advanced order management system for Fashion, Home & Beauty products”.
The agreement aims to streamline operations and cut delivery times by up to three days across Europe.
M&S expands its Zalando partnership through the ZEOS platform to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce delivery times by three days, and strengthen its European online retail footprint.
