Channel Ten has faced criticism for reusing familiar faces after it was discovered that one of this year’s Big Brother contestants had previously appeared on Deal or No Deal. Vincent, a 21-year-old barber from Victoria, took part in the Grant Denyer-hosted game show in 2024.
During his previous TV appearance, the confident young hairstylist was joined by his grandmother. When chatting with host Grant Denyer, Vincent explained that he was playing for his very large family.
“There’s 108 great-grandchildren in my family!” Vincent told the surprised host.
In that tense episode, Vincent made it to the final two briefcases—one containing $50,000 and the other just $75—before receiving a dramatic offer of $18,800 to leave the game without knowing the outcome.
Viewers quickly recognized the former Deal or No Deal contestant when Big Brother 2025 premiered on Sunday evening. Many took to social media to share their reactions and amusement at seeing a familiar face back on television.
“Omgg I remember him lmaoo, someone posted him on TikTok and the girls were going absolutely feral over him. Knew I recognised him,” one user commented.
“If I had a penny for every time someone who has previously been on Deal or No Deal was cast on a reboot of Big Brother,” another person joked.
Fans criticised Channel Ten after spotting that a 2024 Deal or No Deal contestant, Vincent from Victoria, is now a housemate on Big Brother 2025, sparking lively social media discussions.
