Entertainment writer Celia experienced a first look inside the Big Brother AU house before the contestants moved in, revealing what the space truly feels like.
When I first entered the Big Brother AU house at Dreamworld, I was overwhelmed by the vibrant colors, lights, and overall atmosphere. The place felt dramatic yet fun and inviting. Being inside gave me a thrill similar to tasting a new, delicious food for the first time—exciting and something you immediately want to enjoy again.
As New Idea's Entertainment Writer, I was fortunate to travel from Sydney to the Gold Coast to be among the first to tour the house ahead of the housemates’ arrival. The visit coincided with the 2026 Upfront event on a warm spring evening, where show host Mel Tracina welcomed guests and hinted at an exciting upcoming season.
Afterward, we were allowed to freely explore the house, which was truly astonishing in size. The main interior includes a large lounging area complemented by several smaller hangout spots, a spacious kitchen with an enormous pantry, a bedroom, bathroom, and the iconic diary room.
The outdoor facilities include a gym area, outdoor showers, two lounge sets for relaxation, a swimming pool, and a dining table with enough seating for all housemates.
“One thing that shocked me most was the scale – it is huge.”
The Big Brother house combines comfort and entertainment, promising an engaging experience for both housemates and viewers.
