The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar wrote that Blair, long associated with U.S. interventions in the Middle East, is poised to take on further diplomatic assignments beyond the Palestinian issue. The paper also stated that he intends to travel to Beirut next week.
Sources told the paper that Blair will be accompanied by an unidentified delegation, possibly including advisors who previously worked with him on matters related to Gaza.
