Former Dawgs coach Mark Richt denies rumors of hospitalization

Mark Richt, aged 65, who led the Georgia Bulldogs from 2001 to 2015, addressed recent online rumors claiming he had been hospitalized.

"Apparently, there’s something out there on the Internet saying that I’m in the hospital. But if you would have seen me running down the street today, it was so pitiful you probably would have thought I needed to be admitted to the hospital. Lol."

The former coach used humor in his social media post on X/Twitter to refute the claim, reassuring fans that he was doing fine.

Richt, who suffered a heart attack in 2019 and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2021, remains a respected figure in college football. During his time with Georgia, he achieved a 145–51 record, winning two SEC championships and nine bowl games. Later, he coached at his alma mater, the University of Miami, from 2016 to 2018.
