IndiGo Partners with Bluebox Aviation Systems

IndiGo and Bluebox Aviation Systems have announced a collaboration to deliver a modern digital inflight experience for IndiGo passengers. This partnership utilizes Bluebox’s expertise in media and content creation, including video, podcasts, native content, whitepapers, webinars, and events, to connect with travelers effectively.

Next-Generation Digital Services

Bluebox’s modular digital platform, Blueview, will be integrated as a line-fit feature on Airbus’ Open Software Platform (OSP) for IndiGo's upcoming A321-XLR fleet. This integration makes IndiGo the first Indian airline to provide such advanced in-flight entertainment from the aircraft’s initial flight, eliminating the need for retrofitting.

Passenger Benefits on A321-XLR

“OSP allows airlines to harness powerful, integrated software environments as standard,” said Kevin Clark, CEO of Bluebox. “With Blueview, IndiGo will be able to offer passengers a seamless and engaging digital experience immediately with the powerful capability to evolve with passenger demands over the coming years.”

“We are delighted to offer engaging in-flight entertainment on our A321XLR fleet, in partnership with Bluebox, which our customers will be able to experience on their own personal electronic devices (PEDs),” said Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer of IndiGo.

IndiGo’s use of Bluebox technology positions the airline as an innovator in Indian aviation by enhancing inflight connectivity and entertainment from the moment their new aircraft enter service.

Author’s summary: IndiGo’s partnership with Bluebox will pioneer advanced digital inflight entertainment on their A321-XLR fleet, delivering seamless, evolving experiences directly on passengers’ devices without retrofitting delays.
