There is an interesting reason behind the color change. The University of Central Florida does not include blue in its official colors, yet on Friday night, the football team faced Houston wearing bright blue jerseys.
These uniforms are part of UCF’s annual “Space Game,” an event that celebrates the school’s strong connection to space exploration and its well-known aerospace engineering programs.
“The uniforms this year are their ninth edition, called Mission IX: HyperSpace.”
This year marks the ninth version of the special uniform series. The Golden Knights, notably without their trademark gold for this matchup, aim to deliver a standout performance while showcasing this unique design.
Houston entered the game holding a 7–2 record, making the contest a challenging and anticipated encounter.
