Hayley Williams Releases New Song “Showbiz”

November 7 marks a milestone for Hayley Williams, leader of Paramore. Physical editions of her third solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, have been released, featuring two tracks previously unavailable for streaming.

In October, Williams shared one of these songs, “Good Ol’ Days.” Now she’s unveiled the other, titled “Showbiz,” co-produced and co-written by Daniel James.

“Showbiz” adds the final piece to the Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party puzzle, rounding out Williams’ personal and experimental project.

Alongside the release, Williams received four Grammy nominations. Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party is nominated for Best Alternative Music Album. The track “Parachute” will compete for Best Alternative Music Performance. Additionally, “Mirtazapine” is up for Best Rock Performance, and “Glum” earned a nod for Best Rock Song.

Williams first won a Grammy in 2015 for Best Rock Song with “Ain’t It Fun.” In 2024, she added two more: Best Rock Album and Best Alternative Music Performance, both for This Is Why. Altogether, she has received eleven career nominations.

Fans can revisit her 2021 column, “Paramore’s Influence Is All Around Us,” to reflect on the band’s lasting cultural impact.
