On September 5, the Skydive OBX team, consisting of Sven Jseppi and Heather McLay, completed 108 tandem skydives in under 16 hours at Dare County Regional Airport. This achievement was officially recognized by Guinness World Records.
"It would not have been possible without the help from my friends, family and volunteers. The ground crew are the true heroes here. All the pilots, packers, catchers, runners, witnesses, fuelers, photographers, videographers, and all the random helpers. I could not have done this without your support."
"Most of all the BIGGEST standing ovation goes out to the love of my life and partner in crime. Heather McLay jumped at this opportunity with grit, grace and determination. She let me spin us back to the ground like a Tasmanian devil and she didn’t get sick. I knew she could do it and I wouldn’t have done it without her."
Skydive OBX announced the record on November 5, 2025, expressing hope that their record will be challenged in the future.
