On October 29, the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center at Industry City hosted a special event that brought together Martin Scorsese, Francesca Scorsese, alumni, current students, and invited guests. The gathering celebrated a collaboration with the Italian coffee brand Lavazza to launch a new café within the center.
Martin Scorsese, a member of the Tisch Dean’s Council and alumnus of the class of ’64, ’68, Hon. ’92, attended alongside his daughter and recent Tisch graduate, Francesca Scorsese ’23 (BFA, Kanbar Institute, Film & TV).
Scorsese reflected on the significance of coffee shops in his youth and throughout his career, describing them as places where genuine artistic collaboration and creativity are born.
Francesca shared a heartfelt moment with her father during the event, later posting it on her Instagram to commemorate the occasion.
The collaboration between the Scorsese Center and Lavazza highlights how artistic spaces can foster connection, creativity, and shared inspiration across generations.
